Well, over the last couple of day , I’ve managed a few hours on Tuesday afternoon on Craig Goch, and a couple of cheeky hours this morning. Sport was good from the off, but strewth, that strong pokey South Westerly wind….. boy oh boy !! cool too …. But seemed to bring the fish up with savage swirls to my Peter Ross point fly as it was retrieved fast back through the waves ….. lovely solid hits to it. So nice to be back into some bars of gold from the Elan Valley !!!!

A few hours wading in that cold mountain water was enough for this callsign, on both days I thanked her for some fantastic early season sport, and quality butter yellow bellied, spotty brown trout …… Short three hour sessions are ideal now that I live so close to the rolling mountains of the Elenydd…… It has a mass of lovely trouty feeder streams as well as the secretive mountain llyns ….. in fact this area of the Elenydd covers seventy two square miles …. It obviously goes further into Tregaron and the area of the Tristan lakes over to Aberystwyth …. Steeped in history too …. I love it here ….. so as I dwell over some fast frantic sport; over two short sessions , I have a large Baileys coffee … ahhhhhhh that smell !!!! Delicious. Cheers guys ….😉😉🎣
