Well , with Sundays session being an absolute ball , i did make another return trip to one of my favourite little rivers …….very Lilliputian at the moment , with low but clear water , the days session was an early one , had some serious outside jobs to crack on with and get completed . Arrived at the bridge pull in at half seven , warm and muggy then on the Thursday , reading 13 degrees on the dash in my truck , however that climbed to 29 by the time i was leaving at midday …..
As usual , where i could manage to get a cast away on the cold clear water , the Edw brown trout savagely hit my dry Parachute Adams with gusto !!!!! Pretty fish here , with gorgeous spotty markings , ten made it to the net on this sesssion , lovely as always , and just being in such a beautiful valley is an uplifting experience ….. Some good fish in the tally the other day , ten inch fish and also smaller , however one cracking twelve inch brownie made it too the net , admired then carefully slipped back in …. superb . As usual , some didnt make it to the net , but thats fishing i guess … another lovely morning , morale fully charged up ….. onwards and upwards ….. back to the The Ponderosa , and a few hours hard graft awaits ….. joyous !!
